Words from the Commander

 As I look forward to my coming year as Commander of Post 10148, I would like to see a focus on some specific areas of our mission. My priorities are to continue growing our membership and -- as importantly -- to increase the participation and involvement of our existing members in Post events.

Additionally, I would like to have us focus on outreach opportunities, specifically:

1. Ensuring local veterans and their families in need are supported.

2. Increasing the involvement/interaction of the Post & the JROTC at Cocoa Beach high school;

3. Becoming more involved with the community of Cocoa Beach.

Post Projects

  • Upper A/C unit requires extensive work. Bids have been received. ~ $20k needs to be raised.

  • A roof condenser unit for the walk in cooler has been donated. Old roof is being replaced to support unit. The Aux donated $500 for roof materials. - Goomba

  • 5 gal buckets & pick-ups were obtained from ACE. Need plan for "clean up"

  • Repair kitchen water taps - Waiting plumber

  • New fencing - on hold
